The Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya attended Thematic University Meeting organized by Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. The meeting took place on the date of 5 July 2019 at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Senate Hall and hosted by the Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akgül. The Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, rectors from 12 universities and Director of International Rumi Center For The Study Of Civilizations Prof. Dr. Bilal Kuşpınar attended the meeting. 
The opening speech of the meeting was made by the Rector of KMU Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akgül and he wished a fruitful meeting.
After the opening speech, the Rector of our university Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya made a presentation about the activities done by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University within the scope of Mission Differentiation and Specialization based on Reginal Development Project. He gave information about specialization fields of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and the reasons why it has been chosen as a pilot university. He mentioned that 7 projects have been produced and most of them have been actualized. 
Providing Geothermal Resource and Delivering to Project Areas Project Has Been Completed
Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya gave information about the projects like "Providing Geothermal Resource and Delivering to Project Areas, Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses, Coarse Fodder Production, Progress and Development Focused on Walnut, Rehabilitation Center with Geothermal Source (RECEGES), Traditional and Complementary Medicine, and Athlete Health Research, Application and Thermal Rehabilitation Center (AHRATRC)" and he added that Providing Geothermal Resource and Delivering to Project Areas Project has been completed.
Kırşehir Will Be Geothermal Greenhouse Region with Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses Project
The aim of Clustering in Thermal Greenhouses Project is to make contribution to the use of geothermal resources in greenhousing, to build a greenhouse model that can be operated by a small family and to create an alternative activity area to prevent migration from the country to town, and to provide provide consultancy service about greenhousing in the region. Rector Karakaya said, "project and documentation process of 1400 square meter Venlo greenhouse has been completed and construction process has started in 2019."
Different Plants Are Planted with Coarse Fodder Production
He also talked about the importance of the Coarse Fodder Production for the region as Kırşehir is a city of which one of the most important businesses is Animal Husbandry and there are almost 250 thousand cattle in Kırşehir. He stated that they planted coarse fadder to a field of 300 decars..
Kaman Walnut Will Be Talked For Its Quality
Prof. Dr. Karakaya also mentioned about the Development Focused on Walnut Project and he stated that walnut is a brand for our city and they developed the project in order to increase productivity and value of that brand. Rector Karakaya said that "We did studies to increase crop for Kaman Walnut" and that they developed automation system.
Kırşehir Will Be the Capital of Health Tourism
Rector Karakaya also mentioned about the projects related to health like RECEGES, TACM, AHRATRC projects. He said that they aim to combine traditional treatment, technology and geothermal resource of our city and to make Kırşehir the capital of health tourism.
At the end of the meeting, the Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University gave a gift to the Rector of our University.
